    RE: rate limiting

Multiple rate-limit commands are handled much like access-lists.  By that, I mean they are processed in a top-down fashion.  So the order you type them in is the order in which things happen.  If you decide to change your order, then you basically rip them all out, use notepad and rearrange/edit to paste them back in!

    RE: rate limiting

Your first rate limit will be for 2M (matching prec 2 traffic in ACL)  conform action is transmit, exceed will be set prec to 0 and continue.
Your second rate limit will be for 8M (matching prec 0 traffic in ACL), conform action is transmit, exceed action drop.

    Re: RE: rate limiting

as for me, I found CCIE Prep Guide by W.Odom and Co, 3d edition very useful in regards to rate-limit feature. Also Vol 1 by IE is useful.
