    New IE v4 COD

    Sorry IE ;

I am bit disappointed , The new version is cover only basic stuff , the same slides almost use in previous IE 5 days and 10 days class so I do not understand if things going to be same than why we need another version?

Sorry for this , but I wish we might see some in-depth technologies focus slides with some diagram like if we want teach Q and Q then there should be diagram on slide and tell how things work then follow the configuration.

Please note :-  CCIE written bootcamp has already teach all basic stuff (Tier -1 class) and ready student for next level so I believe this COD v4 class should for those who has familiar with technology and need to go next level of theory and configuration.

of course , there is only few class recorded , hopefully they may change but so far I am not impressed.
    Regards

What is that response supposed to mean? Is "thanks for feedback supposed to make him feel better?

I know what he means because I bought the lab breakdown series and the errors which were obvious, we not even mentioned.. Brian Mcgahan simply paused when he spotted the mistake and pretended he did not notice them! Unbelievable and simply dishonest! He has no real world experience either... like they say if you cant do it, teach it!

Yes, go on Brian delete this post.... Im sure you will. Shamefull. ;-)

    Re: RE: New IE v4

Everyone can do mistakes .I never heard Brian or any other instructor here  saying that they never do mistakes.

I do have ten years experience and I do not  know what you meant real world experience.Real time ospf ,eigrp  or other things are different ???The only difference we come accross a lot of bugs.On the other hand I guess  they are giving consultant service to a lot of company.

Anyway in my opinion judging INE team or Brian is not right and a goood behaviour.Instead try to get  benefit of their work as much as you can.Of course feedbacks must be done  buy your way is wrong.

    Have a good day

We can see the flamer does not post here often - probably not even a legitimate customer of INE.

Anyways - thanking him for his feedback means that we are going to incorporate into the product.

Unlike many of our competitors - we are always interested in improving our products and providing them free of charge to clients.

    Hey Thom-ass,

If you make fewer than 20% mistakes, and you repeat that in 3 different CCIE lab tracks, then you would be a triple CCIE.

May be you already are. How much do you charge for your training?

    Re: RE: New IE v4

In my opinion If you really (I mean INE) want to improve ATCOD You should put there more detail slides. It will be really helpful for students. More information give us better understanding of problems. Besides When I do the review Your slides are totally unhelpful. Too general. Maybe You should pay attention on that.

    Re: RE: New IE v4

I would say not bad. Generally new form of presentation allow to jump to any place I want. Slides at the begining looked the same like in a previous version ;]. But information presented at the end was much better :). That's what I'm talking about. Terminal colors yellow/black are perfect. Finally someone read my posts :). Unfortunately I can't do full screen. I'm not sure If it's my web browser problem or sth else. But I can do the zoom via IE so 125% or 150% solve the problem. Generally good job :).

ps. in previous version instructors had got better sense of humour ;)

I am viewing the PPP section and I am finding in the section for configuration that the information that is being typed on the router is not showing on the screen.  It seems to be one or two lines lower than what is being displayed.  I see the information scrolling up later after it was typed at the prompt by the instructor.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue?  I am on a MacBook Pro using Firefox browser.

ChopChop, we use Adobe tools to capture live presentations here in the UK.  If the commands the instructor is typing is just outside the capture window then you will not see them until it moves 'up' the screen in to the capture area.  We had to educate a lot of people here in the UK about this as they were chatting about slides outside the capture area.  Without seeing the COD I would guess that this is what is going on rather than any problem local to your PC or browser.

    Marvin captured at 1024 x 768

We are going back to the smaller recording size as that works better for the largest possible audience - thanks everyone.

    Re: RE: New IE v4

I thought the PPP videos were good, and right on point.  In the older ATC CoD, maybe Brian Dennis did a bit of overkill on this topic...maybe because that amount of info was probably needed with the previous versions of the lab and having the heavy dial-on-demand routing objectives, and the inter-relationship with PPP?

Thanks for listening to our feedback!  I certainly appreciate it.

Well...If the video would load up in a reasonable amount of time I just might be able to view it....Adobe Captivate really is not the way to be going here  I am afraid.  I don't have any issues with my BW, if I hop over to the old ATC videos everything is fine.  Are you hosting these elsewhere?

Anthony, did anybody take a look at the comment which I passed over in the "R&S 4.0 Advanced Technologies COD" thread with regards to these new videos as I honestly believe that a number of them are valid?

    Thanks,

    Steve
