    Tabs in the labs!

    Hey all,

I heard from someone in Cisco that Cisco has finally updated the version of SecureCRT and the use of Tabs is now available! Happened end of last year apparently in Sydney! Is this true?

    Cheers,

    mpls-te.

    Re: Tabs in the labs!

With the new monitors you can have most of the terminals (if not all) open and on the screen.  This seems like the best method for seeing debug and log info as it occurs on multiple routers.  Also it makes you feel good when you configure OSPF move to the next router/task and glace back to see that OSPF log message on the screen.

The real question is do they have the chat and scripting features.  Then I don't need alias's anymore, I would just click on my macro.  Fire off a clear ip bgp * to all the routers at once.

    Re: Tabs in the labs!

Yeah I agree about having seperate windows open good for troubleshooting and seeing the network converge (thats how I did it in my lab), but you can also do this with tabs by looking at the tab status colours change and also for troubleshooting being able to send a tab to a new window!

I have to admit, I only tried using the buttons and chat scripting features today, its bloody awsome!!!!
